작업 소개

57STUDIO는 국제갤러리에서 열린 박찬경의 개인전 《안녕 安寧 Farewell》을 기념하여, 작가의 작업 세계를 조명하는 아티스트 인터뷰 영상을 구성 및 제작하였습니다. 이번 전시는 전통과 냉전, 분단 등의 주제를 통해 한국 사회를 비평해온 작가의 시선을 담은 신작 13점을 선보인 자리였습니다.

대표작 <시민의 숲>(2016)은 시인 김수영과 화가 오윤의 작업에서 영감을 받은 3채널 비디오-오디오 작업으로, 근현대사 속 무명의 희생자들을 애도하는 알레고리적 영상입니다. 이외에도 <작은 미술사>, <승가사 가는 길>, <밝은 별> 등 다양한 매체의 작업을 통해 작가는 역사와 전통, 현재를 교차시키는 사유를 제시합니다.

57STUDIO는 기존 인터뷰 영상을 바탕으로 시나리오를 구성하고, 전시장과 작품의 맥락을 유기적으로 담아내어 박찬경의 작업 세계를 입체적으로 전달하는 콘텐츠를 제작하였습니다.

57STUDIO produced and directed the artist interview video in celebration of Park Chan-kyong’s solo exhibition Farewell (안녕 安寧) at Kukje Gallery. The exhibition featured 13 new works that reflect the artist’s critical perspective on Korean society, exploring themes such as tradition, the Cold War, and national division.

The centerpiece, Citizen’s Forest (2016), is a three-channel video and audio installation inspired by the works of poet Kim Soo-young and painter Oh Yoon. It serves as an allegorical tribute to the unnamed victims of modern Korean history. Other works such as A Minor Art History, The Road to Seunggasa Temple, and Bright Star further demonstrate Park’s continued engagement with the intersections of history, tradition, and contemporary life across various media.

Building on existing interview footage, 57STUDIO developed a new scenario and organically integrated scenes of the exhibition space and artworks to create a multilayered video that communicates Park Chan-kyong’s artistic vision in depth.
