작업 소개

57STUDIO는 국제갤러리의 주요 전시를 영상으로 기록하며, 도록의 정제된 미학을 영상으로 구현하는 작업에 집중하고 있습니다. 2019년 문성식 작가의 개인전 《아름다움. 기묘함. 더러움. (Beautiful. Strange. Dirty.)》을 맞아 전시 도큐멘트 영상을 제작하였습니다.

이번 전시는 드로잉 매체를 새롭게 탐구하며, 전통과 현재, 동양과 서양을 잇는 작가의 고유한 정체성을 조명하는 자리였습니다. 57STUDIO는 전시 공간과 작품의 디테일을 면밀히 기록하며, 작가의 조형 언어와 작업의 깊이를 효과적으로 전달하는 데 집중하였습니다.

57STUDIO focuses on recording major exhibitions at the International Gallery, concentrating on translating the refined aesthetics of exhibition catalogs into video form. For the 2019 solo exhibition of artist Moon Seong-sik, titled Beautiful. Strange. Dirty., 57STUDIO produced an exhibition documentary video.

This exhibition was an opportunity to explore the medium of drawing anew while highlighting the artist’s unique identity that bridges tradition and contemporary art, as well as East and West. 57STUDIO meticulously recorded the exhibition space and the details of the works, focusing on effectively conveying the artist’s sculptural language and the depth of the work.
