작업 소개

57STUDIO는 국제갤러리에서 개최된 엘름그린 & 드라그셋의 개인전 《Adaptations》의 전시 도큐멘트 영상을 기획 및 제작하였습니다. 이번 전시는 건축, 설치, 조각, 퍼포먼스를 넘나들며 현대사회의 구조와 권력 관계를 탐구하는 작가 듀오의 신작 20여 점을 조명하는 자리였습니다.

엘름그린 & 드라그셋은 장소특정적 문맥을 바탕으로 사회적 클리셰와 위계질서를 해학적으로 해석하며, 일상적 사물과 공공장소의 시각 언어를 통해 새로운 서사를 구축합니다. 57STUDIO는 이러한 전시의 개념을 효과적으로 전달하기 위해, 전시 공간과 작품 간의 상호작용을 면밀히 포착하고, 관람객이 경험하는 시각적, 개념적 요소를 강조하는 영상을 제작하였습니다.

57STUDIO planned and produced the exhibition documentary video for Adaptations by Elmgreen & Dragset, held at the International Gallery. This exhibition highlighted over 20 new works by the artist duo, exploring the structures of modern society and power dynamics through a range of mediums including architecture, installation, sculpture, and performance.

Elmgreen & Dragset interpret social clichés and hierarchies with humor, based on site-specific contexts, and build new narratives through the visual language of everyday objects and public spaces. To effectively communicate the concept of the exhibition, 57STUDIO meticulously captured the interactions between the exhibition space and the works, creating a video that emphasizes the visual and conceptual elements experienced by the audience.
