작업 소개

57STUDIO는 서울공예박물관 소장품인 조선시대 자수병풍, 자수노안도 10첩 병풍의 보존처리 과정을 담은 영상을 기획·제작하였습니다. 장황문화재연구소가 수행한 보존 처리 과정을 한 달여간의 촬영을 통해 기록하며, 병풍의 섬세한 복원 작업과 장인의 손길을 생생히 담아냈습니다.

‘노안(蘆雁)’은 갈대와 기러기를 상징하며, 노후의 평안을 기원하는 의미를 담고 있어 자수노안도는 그 자체로도 깊은 상징성을 지닙니다. 이번 영상은 서울공예박물관 개관 전시에 등장할 자수노안도 10첩 병풍의 보존 처리와 준비 과정을 관객들에게 전달하며, 조선시대 공예품의 정교함과 그 가치를 조명합니다.

57STUDIO planned and produced a video documenting the conservation process of the Embroidered Folding Screen with Reed and Geese Motif, a 10-panel embroidered folding screen from the Joseon Dynasty, part of the Seoul Museum of Craft Art’s collection. Over a month of filming, the video captured the intricate restoration work carried out by the Janghwang Cultural Heritage Research Institute, showcasing the meticulous craftsmanship and dedication of the conservators.

The Reed and Geese Motif symbolizes peace and serenity in old age, imbuing the screen with deep symbolic meaning. This video provides audiences with a behind-the-scenes look at the conservation and preparation process of this artifact, featured in the Seoul Museum of Craft Art’s opening exhibition. It highlights the exquisite craftsmanship and cultural significance of Joseon-era craftwork.
