작업 소개

트로이의 여인들은 무대를 가득 채운 거대한 구조물 사이를 가로지르며 창을 하는 배우들의 모습을 섬세하게 담기 위해, 인물들의 등퇴장과 배우들의 시선 처리에 집중하여 촬영 콘티를 구성한 작품입니다. 주요 감정 씬에서 배우들의 연기가 화면 가득 잘 담기도록 클로즈업 화면을 중심으로 촬영하였습니다. 또한, 후반부로 갈수록 절정을 향해 달려가는 극의 흐름이 영상에서도 느껴질 수 있도록 컷 편집의 리듬감과 화면 사이즈를 장면의 흐름에 맞춰 구성하였습니다.

Trojan Women is a work that meticulously captures the actors crossing between the massive structures filling the stage, focusing on the entrances and exits of the characters and the actors’ eye lines. To ensure that the actors’ performances in key emotional scenes are fully conveyed, we centered the filming on close-up shots. Additionally, to reflect the climaxing flow of the play towards the end, we adjusted the rhythm of the cut edits and the screen sizes to match the progression of the scenes.

줄거리

거대한 목마를 전리품으로 착각해 성 안으로 들인 트로이는 그리스-스파르타 연합군과의 전쟁에서 패망한다. 트로이의 왕비 헤큐바는 남편과 아들을 십 년 전쟁 중에 모두 잃었다. 딸인 카산드라는 그리스의 왕 아가멤논에게, 며느리 안드로마케는 그리스 장군에게 아가멤논에게, 며느리 안드로마케는 그리스 장군에게 노예로 팔려갈 것이라는 소식을 듣는다. 마지막 희망이었던 어린 손자 아스티아낙스마저 빼앗기고 만다. 노예로 팔려갈 여인들 앞에 스파르타의 메넬라우스 왕이 나타나고, 여인들의 미래는 불안하기만 한데…

세계가 극찬한 창극의 귀환! 어둠을 밝힐 여인들의 목소리가 들려온다
전석 매진과 이어지는 기립 박수! 2016년 초연 이후 싱가포르예술축제, 런던국제연극제, 홀란드 페스티벌, 빈 페스티벌 공연에서 창극 <트로이의 여인들>이 일궈낸 놀라운 성과이다. 세계의 관객과 평단을 매혹시킨 국립창극단의 대표 레퍼토리가 다시 한 번 국내 관객을 찾는다. 에우리피데스가 쓴 동명의 그리스 비극을 바탕으로 배삼식이 새롭게 극본을 쓰고, 싱가포르 연출가 옹켕센이 미장센을 만든 작품이다. 판소리의 거장 안숙선은 소리를 엮고, 미국 아카데미영화상 4관왕에 빛나는 영화 <기생충>의 음악감독 정재일은 음악을 빚어냈다. 판소리로 중심을 잡으며 뛰어난 무대?조명?영상 미학을 구현해 국내외 예술가들의 성공적 협업 사례로 꼽힌다.
작품은 전쟁의 고통 속에서도 삶을 살아내야 했던 평범한 사람들에게 시선을 돌린다. 일상이 위협받는 요즈음, <트로이의 여인들> 속 인물들이 겪는 고통과 강인함은 사뭇 다른 감도로 보는 이의 마음을 파고들 것이다. 칠흑 같은 어둠일지라도, 그것을 밝히는 것은 트로이의 여인들과 같은 작고 평범한 인간들의 목소리이기에.

Trojan Women, the much-loved repertoire of the National Changgeuk Company of Korea, comes back this season. It swept major stages around the globe since the 2016 premiere, including the Singapore International Festival of Arts, the London International Festival of Theatre, the Holland Festival, and the Wiener Festwochen with the shower of a standing ovation. Based on the Greek tragedy of the same title written by Euripides, it is an excellent example of international collaboration with the best artists. BAE Sam-sik wrote the script, and Singaporean director ONG Keng Sen created the overall mise-en-scene. Then, pansori master AHN Sook-sun enriched the songs, and film Parasite’s music director JUNG Jae-il designed the music. The stage shows the delicate beauty of the set, lighting, and video design while retaining the essence of Korean pansori. Feeling our everyday life is threatened by the pandemic, the pain experienced by ordinary people, and the strength of the women surviving through the war will dig deeper into our minds. Because we know when it’s dark, we can only lean onto ordinary people like us.
